A time parameter is not required (default value is now). The image returned to you is relative to the closest time <= the passed time_stamp. I did this by putting a Perl CGI wrapper around the WMS script. It's very slick!

* etopo2_bathy_contour zoom scale (the # of contours that show up or are labeled) is automatically taken care of.

Re. the NHC storm track layers.
* If your timestamp falls w/i the storms birth (as a tropical something) and death (as a tropical something), then I'll display it. 'Display it' means show everything related to each storm relative to your timestamp. [nhc_storm_tracks_line, nhc_storm_tracks_point]
* I'll display the head of the storm (relative to your timestamp) w/ a little icon and the storm name. [nhc_storm_tracks_current_point, nhc_storm_tracks_current_label]

Also, in order to use the legends, specify a &height and a &width. The legends will appear in the bottom RH corner of your map. (Just don't display them both!)

Optional legend units:

* temperature_units can be one of: f, F, c, C [default]
* velocity_units can be one of: knots, KNOTS, mph, MPH, mps, MPS [default]
* elevation_units can be one of: ft, FT, m, M [default]


The wind barb density of the quikscat layer is dynamic and based upon your map size and extents. We want pretty images after all . . .

I have attached some example images as well as their source URL's (as a .txt attachment).

Metadata is embedded in the source file, and credit must be given to the data providers. SEACOOS will make an official policy at some point, and I'll pass that along.
